Thanks to the oligarch and patron Viktor Vekselberg, the Faberge Museum most notably showcases 9 original Faberge eggs that belonged to the Imperial family. These eggs, formerly part of the collection owned by Malcolm Forbes, have a considerable cultural and historical value and are also witnesses of the Russian master-jeweler’s creativity. Situated on the banks of the Fontanka River in the sumptuous Shuvalov Palace, the Faberge Museum presents an ornamental and decorative art collection as well as a collection of icons that formerly belonged to the Imperial family.
