DescriptionThe North of Russia is known for having spectacular natural beauty, especially in Winter. Here, you can be lucky enough to meet Siberian Huskies. These dogs will show you their love for speed, freedom and, of course, humans. Let them share their affection with you and you're sure to fall in love with them. Come along on this trip to the suburbs of Saint Petersburg in a minibus accompanied by a private guide. You will head to a magnificent place situated on the shore of a beautiful frozen lake in the woods. When you arrive, you will be welcomed by a kayur (a professional dog-sled leader) who has himself taken part in expeditions to the Arctic. You will get to know the exciting history of huskies and hear exciting stories about the hardships faced by polar explorers. After that, you will finally get to meet the dogs. Please keep in mind that this place is not a zoo. You will be introduced to the dogs and not vice-versa. Let the huskies get to know you and, after that, they will be glad to take you for a ride in the snowy forest. You can also enjoy show tubing with them up a hill or go for a walk along the shore of the lake. As soon as you finish with the activities, you will enjoy a traditional Russian lunch in an authentic Russian 'chum' (an indigenous-style house with fireplace) where you will be shown the process of cooking shashliks in tandoor (Russian meat sticks put in a special oven). You will also have a chance to taste a typical Russian fish soup called 'uha,' home-made hot spiced wine, and some sweets. Finally, there will be the opportunity to take some photos with huskies, kayurs, and the picturesque snow-covered woods that are unique to the North of Russia.
