The land lying on the north and east banks of the Neva river, Vyborgskaya will be your point of arrival if coming on the Allegro train from Helsinki.

Finlandsky station was the scene of Lenin's triumphal arrival in the city from exile in 1917, marked by one of the older statues of the Revolutionary leader, erected in front of the station in 1926. The station still displays the carriage he arrived in, on platform 5. Today the station is the arrival and departure point for the Allegro train from Helsinki.
