Things To Do in St Petersburg
When you're tired of visiting all the world-class museums, galleries, theaters, parks, palaces, cathedrals, out-of-town estates…you'll find St Petersburg still has plenty more unique sites and activities to offer.
Want to know more about Dostoevsky or the Blockade? Take a themed walking tour around the relevant sites. Hot and bothered after fighting your way round the sites with the crowds? Go swimming in one of several public Olympic-sized swimming pools. Or head along the northern shore to the beaches and sanatoriums along the Gulf of Finland for refreshing breezes and a more relaxed pace. Fancy yourself as an extra from Anna Karenina? Wrap up warm, head to a local park, strap your skates on and skate along the frozen paths. Kids getting restless? Take them to the chamber of horrors, or Russia's largest waterpark. Need some pampering? Try a spa or salon. Or go one better and head to a traditional Russian banya. One thing is for sure: you'll never go bored in St Petersburg.
