Outlying Islands

The islands lying to the north of Petrogradskaya provide green areas and a breathing space to the city, and are full of elite houses.

Elagin and Krestovsky islands are a great place to escape to when the city heats up in the summer months. As well as 19th century style moderne buildings, modern "dachas" which look like mini-castles, and an imperial era palace to explore, there are also parks, rivers, canals to enjoy. A number of trendy dj bars and clubs have also now popped up to provide the society crowd with a place to catch some rays and tunes, and see and be seen close to the city. Check out some of the events that take place in the parks, such as the annual Usadba Jazz festival at Elagin park.
