Oceanarium

The Oceanarium is large - it occupies an area of about 5000 square meters, and includes some 33 water tanks with a total capacity of over 1.5 million liters of water. The largest tank contains about 750,000 liters of water, the smallest one contains 300 liters. The collection includes over 4,500 specimens of fish, aquatic invertebrates and sea mammals covering almost150 species. There are individual collections displaying fresh water fish of the Russian north-west, tropical fish, coral reef, seals, and the main tank which includes 5 species of sharks. There are two daily seal shows and every evening at 1900 the sharks are fed by a rather brave diver...
The Oceanarium is open 7 days a week from 1000 to 2200 between May 1 and August 31, and til 2000 the rest of the year. Ticket office closes 45 minutes before Oceanarium closes for day.
